Solution Architect – Technology Strategy & Transformation
Location: Dublin, Ireland (Permanent)
We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to partner with clients across business and technology strategy, design and implement complex software solutions, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Act as a trusted advisor to programme sponsors and technology leadership.
Provide architecture leadership across enterprise application platforms such as ERP, CRM, ITSM, integration platforms (Oracle, MS Dynamics, Infor, Kraken, Salesforce, etc.).
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business, functional and non‑functional requirements into architectural specifications and ensure alignment with enterprise strategy and digital roadmap.
Guide platform selection, implementation strategy, migration approaches and integration models.
Minimise technical debt by making configuration and customisation decisions that preserve upgradeability.
Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture principles, business capability models and technology standards.
Define logical, application, integration, data and deployment architectures.
Produce high‑quality architecture artifacts including solution blueprints, integration diagrams, deployment views and architecture decision records.
Build internal relationships within EY Technology Consulting and other service lines and contribute to thought leadership material.
Ensure compliance with EY quality and risk management processes across projects.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field.
At least 7 years of experience, with 3+ years as a solution architect, platform architect or similar role.
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Effective team player, sharing responsibility and maintaining communication with colleagues and leadership.
Preferred Experience
Experience in Solution Architecture for business applications (ERP, CRM, ITSM, Billing, Healthcare systems such as Oracle, MS Dynamics, Salesforce, Kraken, Infor, Deltek, Workday).
Experience with data and API integration technologies, architecture patterns (Microservices, SOA, etc.) and design principles.
Documentation of architectural designs, technical specifications and implementation guidelines.
Understanding of Information Security Governance and technical techniques to protect information systems.
Understanding of Cloud concepts and cloud‑based technology (Azure, AWS).
Relevant certifications (AWS, TOGAF, Azure, Agile, Scrum, ITIL).
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Effective written and verbal business communication skills.
