Job Overview:
As a Maintenance Assistant, you will support the Maintenance Manager in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the hotel's maintenance department. Responsibilities:
* Assist in conducting daily maintenance tasks in guest rooms, public areas, and behind-the-scenes hotel spaces.
* Support the Maintenance Manager in implementing preventative maintenance plans and responding to work orders efficiently.
* Perform minor repairs on electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, ensuring they meet safety standards.
* Help maintain an inventory of maintenance supplies, and ensure tools and equipment are well-organized.
* Report any issues or concerns promptly to the Maintenance Manager.
* Assist with external maintenance of the building, including signage, lighting, and hotel access areas.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, contributing to the overall safety of staff and guests.
* Participate in maintaining external elements like drainage, lighting, and general grounds upkeep.
