We are seeking a PROCESS ENGINEER to join our team. The site operates in a regulated environment with automated continuous-processing technologies and supplies products to international markets.
This is a hands-on, high-impact role supporting day-to-day manufacturing performance, capital projects, new technology introduction and continuous improvement.
The Process Engineer will:
1. Monitor and optimise production process performance (yield, throughput, energy, quality KPIs)
2. Lead root cause analysis and troubleshooting for process deviations and equipment issues
3. Support capital projects, including equipment upgrades and commissioning of new process lines
4. Work cross-functionally with Production, Maintenance, Quality and CI teams to deliver improvements
5. Maintain and update process documentation, SOPs and validation records
6. Support OEE, efficiency and waste-reduction initiatives
7. Collaborate with vendors/OEMs on equipment upgrades and process improvements
8. Identify automation and control opportunities to improve reliability and consistency
9. Provide engineering support for deviation investigations and change controls
Electrical Component (Desirable but not essential)
This is a process engineering role first and foremost, but experience in one or more of the following is an advantage:
10. Troubleshooting instrumentation, sensors and control loops
11. Working knowledge of MCCs / VSDs / PLC-controlled equipment
12. Experience partnering with E&I vendors / contractors
13. Understanding of electrical isolation and LOTO requirements
14. Ability to read P&IDs and basic electrical schematics
This level of capability is useful, but full electrical qualifications are not required.
About You
To succeed, you will have:
15. Degree in Chemical, Process, Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline
16. 1-4 years' experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (FMCG / food / pharma / biotech / medical devices)
17. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with real ownership mindset
18. Experience supporting production performance, troubleshooting and/or CI projects
19. Ability to work both independently and cross-functionally in a fast-moving environment
Bonus experience (not essential):
20. Powder handling, spray drying, evaporation or filtration
21. Hygienic design or CIP / hygienic utilities
22. Lean / Six Sigma methodologies
