Role: Supply Chain Operations Specialist-Global External Operations
We’re seeking a Supply Chain Operations Specialist to support global external manufacturing activities for commercial drug products. This role is responsible for coordinating the movement of materials and finished goods between contract manufacturers and internal teams, ensuring uninterrupted product supply.
You’ll work cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Operations, Quality, Logistics, and Technical teams, reporting to the Director of Supply Chain Operations, Global External Operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as the main point of contact between contract manufacturers and internal teams to support production and supply plans.
* Coordinate production schedules, shipments, and material flows to meet commercial and clinical needs.
* Manage supply constraints, deviations, and process changes in collaboration with stakeholders.
* Create and maintain purchase and process orders, ensuring accurate data and timely supplier confirmations.
* Oversee inbound and outbound shipments (drug substance, drug product, packaging, samples).
* Monitor inventory levels using ERP/MRP tools; manage non-ERP materials and reporting as required.
* Lead root cause investigations and support continuous improvement initiatives.
* Maintain master data to ensure planning accuracy and cost efficiency.
* Track supplier performance and contribute to dashboard reporting.
* Support change controls, deviations, and resolution of invoice issues.
About You
* 3–5 years’ experience in supply chain or operations within a regulated industry.
* Strong understanding of production planning, inventory management, and logistics.
* Proficient in ERP/MRP systems (SAP preferred).
* Experience with GxP, CAPA, FMEA, and RCA processes.
* Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
