Job Title: Paediatric Community Dietitian Location: Limerick (with travel to community clinics as required) Contract Type: Locum / Full-Time / Fixed-Term (via agency) About the Role Emerald Locums are delighted to partner with the HSE Mid West Community Nutrition & Dietetics Service to recruit an experienced Paediatric Community Dietitian based in Limerick.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a supportive and well-established multidisciplinary team, delivering essential dietetic services to children and families across the community.
The role offers excellent clinical variety and the chance to make a real difference to paediatric care in a community setting.
Key Responsibilities Provide specialist dietetic assessment, intervention, and follow-up for children with a range of nutritional and feeding needs.
Deliver one-to-one and group clinics (both face-to-face and virtual) covering areas such as growth and development, feeding difficulties, diabetes, weight management, and complex care.
Work closely with families, carers, and multidisciplinary teams to create and deliver family-centred care plans.
Participate in health promotion initiatives, service development, and quality improvement projects.
Engage in supervision, team meetings, and ongoing professional development.

Requirements BSc in Human Nutrition & Dietetics (or equivalent qualification) CORU registration (or eligibility for registration) Full drivers licence and access to transport Strong communication, teamwork, and organisational skills Desirable: Previous experience working with children in a community or primary care setting (e.g. feeding difficulties, growth, diabetes, weight management, or complex conditions).
