Overview
Sales Support Specialist – Naas. Irish International Trading Corporation (Cork) Plc, also known as IITC, is a leading Irish wholesaler established in 1920 and specialized in hardware, steel, wire, agricultural plastics, salt, bathroom supplies and plumbing materials. We are seeking a proactive, detail‑oriented individual to join our Naas team to provide essential administrative and operational support to the sales team and ensure smooth execution of sales processes and exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have strong organisational and communication skills and a collaborative mindset to work with sales representatives and contribute to achieving sales targets.
Responsibilities
* Sales Order Processing: assist in processing sales orders with accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company policies; coordinate with logistics and finance to facilitate order fulfilment and invoicing; track order statuses and communicate updates to customers and sales representatives.
* Team Collaboration: support sales representatives with order processing, customer inquiries, and sales reporting; act as a liaison between the sales team and other departments to coordinate efforts and address customer needs.
* Customer Service: provide exceptional customer service, address inquiries, resolve issues, handle complaints and escalations professionally and timely to maintain customer loyalty.
* Market Insight: stay informed about market trends and competitor activities; assist in market research and analysis to identify opportunities and inform sales strategies.
* Price Administration: assist with pricing policies, discounts and promotions; ensure pricing accuracy across transactions and support pricing strategy implementation.
* Customer Engagement: engage proactively with customers to understand needs, foster relationships, and support loyalty initiatives (surveys, feedback mechanisms, etc.).
Qualifications & Skills
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field preferred.
* Experience in sales support, customer service, or related roles is advantageous.
* Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities; able to collaborate with internal teams and external customers.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); CRM experience desirable.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
* Experience in the sales, wholesale, or retail industry.
* Knowledge of sales processes, order management systems, and pricing strategies.
* Ability to analyse data and generate reports to support sales activities and decision-making.
