This role is ideal for a partner or senior lawyer seeking a platform that offers direct impact, a clear path to equity, and the opportunity to shape the future of the department, focusing on domestic and international transactions into Ireland.Key ResponsibilitiesPractice Leadership & ExecutionLead and manage a diverse range of complex corporate transactions, leveraging expertise relevant to the Irish market:Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) (including mid-market domestic and inbound/outbound cross-border deals).Private Equity, Venture Capital, and funding rounds (acting for both funds and investees).Corporate restructurings and Irish corporate reorganisations.Joint ventures, shareholder agreements, and commercial contracts.Irish Company Law and corporate governance advisory, including compliance with the Companies Act 2014 .Oversee and draft all necessary documentation, ensuring legal accuracy and commercial efficacy under Irish jurisdiction.Business Development & Client ManagementPossess a portable client base or a verifiable track record of significant business generation and a clear strategy for future growth within the Irish legal/commercial sectorActively drive the firm's Corporate Department's growth through targeted business development, attending key industry events in Dublin, and leveraging professional networks (e.g., accountants, tax advisors, banks).Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, particularly high-growth Irish SMEs, multinational entities, and the Dublin investor community.Team Management & MentorshipSupervise, train, and mentor junior lawyers and paralegals within the Corporate team, ensuring their development in Irish corporate legal practice.Contribute to the firm's strategic planning and management as a key member of the partnership.QualificationsQualified Solicitor in Ireland (or equivalent with Irish practicing certificate and significant Irish law experience).A minimum of 7 / 8+ years Post-Qualification Experience (PQE) specializing in Corporate law, ideally gained within a reputable private practice setting in Dublin.Technical Skills & ExperienceDemonstrable expertise in managing complex M&A transactions, with proven knowledge of the Irish legal, tax, and regulatory framework .Deep understanding of the Companies Act 2014, corporate governance, and compliance.Proven track record of high-quality legal drafting and negotiation.Established connectivity within the Dublin commercial and financial community.Personal AttributesEntrepreneurial Drive: Highly motivated and proactive with a drive to generate and sustain a profitable practice in the competitive Dublin market.Commercial Acumen: Ability to provide commercially focused and pragmatic advice to clients on Irish transactions.Leadership: Strong leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and manage a team effectively.
