Care Centre Overview:
Gorey Care Centre is a new 96-bed centre located in Clonattin, Gorey town Co. Wexford, opening in April 2025. The centre will provide high-quality care to residents, focusing on their individual needs and preferences.
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) at Gorey Care Centre. As a senior clinical leader, you will play a key role in shaping the delivery of high-quality care to our residents.
Main Responsibilities:
* Provide clinical leadership and direction to the nursing team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care that meets the individual needs of each resident.
* Ensure the implementation of policies and procedures, including those related to medication management, infection control, and risk assessment.
* Collaborate with the Director of Nursing and other members of the senior management team to drive continuous improvement and achieve exceptional patient outcomes.
* Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and identify areas for improvement.
* Develop and implement training programs for nursing staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
* Engage with residents, families, and visitors to ensure their needs are met and concerns addressed promptly.
Requirements:
* A minimum of 7 years post-registration experience in nursing, preferably in older persons care or nursing home care.
* At least 3 years' experience as a Clinical Nurse Manager or above, with a proven track record of leadership and management.
* A post-registration management qualification in health or a related field.
* First-level registration with the relevant professional body.
* Evidence of continuous Professional Development.
