This Account Payable Team Lead role is for an initial 6-month contract. The role will work closely with and report to the Accounts Payable Manager to support their expanding AP team.
This role will suit an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist that is looking to make their first step into a team lead role within a leading FMCG multinational.
The Role
Provide guidance and support to AP team
Provide hands on assistance for the complete AP function
Deliver training to new team members plus develop training materials for any new processes
Work closely with the AP Manager to escalates issues in a timely manner and ensure enquires are resolved and communicated
Assist in the preparing of weekly payment runs
Oversee the PO process, approve PO requests
Prepare payment through ERP system
Maintain a procedures manual, updating as required
The Candidate
Previous end to end AP experience essential
Good people skills, ability to provide guidance and leadership to team
Previous experience of SAP or any other ERP system an advantage
Knowledge of multicurrency accounting transactions
Ability to deal with high volume of processing
