Overview
As a Material Controller at Avantor in Ringaskiddy, Cork, you will execute day-to-day inventory and material management tasks at customer facilities.
Your duties include receiving, inspecting, logging inventory, storing materials, and distributing inbound and outbound materials to end users.
You will handle routine issues such as missing or damaged items, stock discrepancies, and incorrect storage locations, and resolve more complex problems such as supply chain interruptions or system malfunctions using established procedures and available support.
You will communicate activity records, service level metrics, and other information to team members, supervisors, and customers.
Key Responsibilities
Handle and manage stock in compliance with GMP processes.
Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure timely stock replenishment.
Support laboratory operations by managing material flow and ensuring correct stock levels.
Process ad-hoc material requests and coordinate with suppliers as needed.
Operate equipment and follow all site and regulatory requirements.
Perform routine administrative tasks related to stock control and compliance.
Qualifications
Leaving Certificate completion or equivalent (Bachelor's degree preferred).
Consistent work history in warehouse, inventory, retail, hospitality, or a similar environment.
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and familiarity with general warehousing terminology and practices.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
