Job Description
The Financial Controller is a key member of the management team, responsible for providing strategic direction and leadership to the financial environment within the organization.
This role involves overseeing the financial and management accounting function, driving budgeting and forecasting, and supporting long-term financial strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
* Reporting directly to the Dealer Principal/General Manager, the Financial Controller will work closely with senior managers and departments to set strategic direction.
* Leading the finance team, ensuring coordination and delivery of internal and external reporting requirements.
* Providing leadership on technical accounting matters, including preparation, analysis, and oversight of financial statements.
* Preparation and presentation of monthly management accounts.
* Liaising with statutory auditors to ensure audit requirements are met in a timely manner.
* Managing taxation affairs, working closely with tax advisors.
* Ensuring effective financial controls are applied throughout the organization.
* Providing coaching and leadership to the accounting team.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Excellent technical accounting skills.
* Strong commercial acumen with a proven track record in commercial projects.
* Demonstrable experience working in a complex environment with a record of success.
* Board level experience with strong presentation skills.
* Project management and delivery experience.
Benefits:
This is a permanent and full-time onsite role, Monday to Friday, office-based. May require extended hours during month-end or audit periods.
