Fresh Food Advisor – Dublin
Excel Recruitment is delighted to partner with our client to recruit a Fresh Food Advisor to join their expanding retail operations team. This is a hands-on, field-based role that focuses on supporting and advising retailers to maximise sales, profit, and standards across all fresh food categories. This role is ideal for a retail professional with a strong background in fresh food who enjoys coaching others and driving operational excellence.
Salary: €55k – €60k
Responsibilities:
1. Advise and support retailers to optimise sales, achieve margin targets, and enhance profitability across all fresh food categories
2. Identify and address underperforming areas within the fresh food departments, providing practical solutions and ongoing support
3. Build strong working relationships with retailers, store managers, and fresh food teams to foster success and growth
4. Deliver hands-on training in fresh food presentation, portion control, stock rotation, and waste management
5. Drive innovation by supporting the rollout of new product ranges and in-store initiatives
6. Ensure stores maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in compliance with HACCP requirements
7. Assist in developing and delivering training materials and programmes to improve staff knowledge and performance
8. Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure consistent support and implementation of best practices
Requirements:
9. Previous experience in retail fresh food operations is essential
10. Strong knowledge of food safety and HACCP at retail level
11. Excellent communication, leadership, and coaching skills
12. Highly organised, proactive, and able to work independently
13. Flexible and hands-on approach with strong attention to detail
14. Proficient in Microsoft 365 and report preparation
15. Full, clean driver's licence required
