Warehouse Manager (Evening Shift) at EZ Living Interiors – an expansion-focused company in Little Island, Cork.
This is a full-time role, Monday – Friday, 4:00 pm – 1:00 am, based in the Distribution Centre.
Key Responsibilities
Provide strong, capable leadership and clear direction to all team members, including all support functions.
Plan, organise, supervise and participate in daily warehouse operation and activities, including receipt, documentation, storage, safety and distribution of equipment and supplies and maintenance of inventory.
Train, supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned warehouse employees; assign workloads to warehouse workers.
Assist the warehouse team in picking, loading and unloading of stock throughout the warehouse.
Observe health and safety regulations; maintain warehouse in a clean, safe and orderly condition.
Ensure all administrative functions required by the operation are completed correctly and on time (e.g. statutory records, timekeeping, time in lieu hours, accident reports and disciplinary management administration).
Organise workload for warehouse operatives and manage daily schedules for drivers.
Responsible for returned stock, evaluating condition of the item returned and determining whether the item will be sold as new or moved to clearance.
Resolve outstanding logistics issues in a timely manner.
Maintain necessary records in accordance with RSA rules and regulations.
Manage & develop direct reports to achieve business goals & objectives.
Additional ad-hoc Warehouse Manager duties as needed.
Ideal Candidate
Previous furniture experience desirable.
Highly motivated and capable of working on own initiative.
2+ years experience leading a team in a warehouse environment.
Previous experience transforming a warehouse department an advantage.
Proven IT skills – Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook essential with strong ability to manage stock control systems.
Strong organisational and self-management skills with ability to manage a variety of tasks within a busy environment and to specific time frames.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work in a pressurised environment and with individuals at all levels.
