This role offers a thrilling opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead the charge in delivering cutting-edge projects, optimizing processes, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to enhance production efficiency and quality.
As a Senior Automation Engineer, you will design, implement, and optimize automated manufacturing systems for high-volume production lines. Your strong background in automation technologies and proven track record of improving manufacturing efficiency will enable you to lead complex projects from conception to completion.
The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal & communication skills, strong report writing, presentation & data analytical capabilities, and physical stamina to perform duties in a normal office environment. Occasional travel may be required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and implement automation solutions for high-volume manufacturing processes.
* Execute the developed solutions within a regulated environment, ensuring proper change management processes are followed internally and with customers.
* Lead the planning, execution, and commissioning of automation projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex automation system issues, minimizing downtime and maximizing production output.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and maintenance, to optimize manufacturing processes.
* Evaluate and recommend new automation technologies and equipment to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
* Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers and technicians.
* Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements for automated systems.
Requirements:
* Strong proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Allen-Bradley), HMI development, and SCADA systems.
* Familiarity with software applications (C, C++, Python etc) and the suitability of or interaction between PC & PLC based solutions.
* Experience with robotics, vision systems, and other automation technologies.
* Mechanical and/or electrical hands-on experience in troubleshooting, diagnosing and guiding technicians to repair a complex machine in a high-volume environment.
Education:
Bachelor degree or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.
