The Role
A well-established, growing service-based organisation is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to support expansion across its commercial and industrial client portfolio.
This is a field-focused role suited to a self-directed sales professional who enjoys developing relationships, identifying opportunities, and closing new business.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify and win new commercial and industrial clients
* Conduct client meetings, site visits, and presentations within assigned territories
* Manage and grow existing client accounts, identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities
* Monitor market conditions and competitor activity
* Maintain accurate CRM records and prepare regular sales performance reports
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and ongoing service delivery
* Represent the organisation at relevant industry and networking events
Candidate Requirements
* Proven experience in sales or business development
* Experience within a service-led, logistics, infrastructure, or operational environment is advantageous but not essential
* Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
* Self-motivated, organised, and results-oriented
* Comfortable working independently in a field-based role
* Willingness to travel as required
* Achievement of agreed sales and growth targets
* Expansion and retention of the client portfolio
