As part of this growth, we are seeking an experienced SRV Engineer (Commissioning & Qualification Engineer) to join the Engineering team and play a key role in delivering critical capital projects to world-class standards. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a thriving site, contribute to engineering excellence, and support the delivery of cutting-edge pharmaceutical facilities and systems. Role Purpose The SRV Engineer will be responsible for the commissioning and qualification of GxP and GEP systems, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and project objectives. The role involves overseeing engineering documentation, providing technical leadership, coordinating with vendors, and supporting continuous improvement across the site. Key Responsibilities 1. Engineering Practice & Documentation Own and manage GEP documentation including Engineering Design Specifications, C&V Plans, GEP Test Sheets, and Engineering Reports. Oversee the execution and lifecycle management of design requirement documents and test execution documentation. Prepare and coordinate detailed project specifications, drawings, tender documents, and procedures. Support development of engineering systems and ensure alignment with sitewide platforms (e.g., Valgenesis, Quality Docs). 2. Project Management & Leadership Act as project manager when required, maintaining tight control of vendor activities and deliverables. Contribute to planning and delivery of complex, large-scale capital projects. Lead and facilitate cross-functional discussions, including external partners and stakeholders. Independently manage and drive project schedules to completion. 3. Technical & Operational Support Evaluate technical design and performance of systems such as HVAC and Clean Utilities. Attend and support FATs and SATs as required. Apply scientific and engineering principles to problem solve and deliver optimal solutions. Support GMP procedure development and the implementation of engineering best practices. Drive improvements in technical standards and operational processes. 4. Continuous Improvement & Communication Proactively challenge existing practices, introducing new ideas to enhance performance. Represent the engineering function on cross-functional initiatives. Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory expectations. Communicate clearly and professionally across all organisational levels, demonstrating strong verbal, written, and presentation skills. Skills & Experience Required Mandatory Minimum 5 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with strong exposure to commissioning and qualification of GxP/GEP systems. Experience in project management and contractor/vendor oversight. Strong working knowledge of HVAC or Clean Utilities in a GMP environment. Experience working with automated documentation systems (e.g., Valgenesis, TIMs). Experience managing handover packs, snagging processes, and pre-startup controls. Proven ability to take ownership, maintain momentum, and independently drive issues to resolution. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to lead, influence, and collaborate. High proficiency in interpreting scopes of work, drawings, and engineering specifications. Desirable Experience working on large, complex capital projects in a regulated environment. Demonstrated contribution to continuous improvement and engineering systems development.
