We are on the look out for experience individuals to work to work within the utility industry.Roles and ResponsibilitiesWhere necessary or required the Sourcing officer shall conduct requirement gathering exercises, formalise tender packs and timelinesThe Sourcing officers are accountable for working with legal resources both internal and externalEffective planning and utilisation of resources, against pipeline activity and business needs.Tender pack preparation, including invitation and instruction to tenderer's (IITT), contract notices, contract award noticesDelivering "mini-tenders" under existing frameworks, for low value sourcing events adhering to the sourcing rules under each frameworkDocument controlConduct contract negotiation activity with suppliersUndertake post sourcing event reviews, tracking and logging lessons learnt an implemented with the appropriate Category Management, contract management, and Supplier Relationship Management population.Knowledge/experience neededExperience in the public utilities, water, infrastructure or engineering sectorExperience within Utilities or Gas is required for this roleSourcing/supply chain experience.Undertaking procurement qualification desirable e.g. CIPsOffice 365 suite including MS Excel and PowerPointExperience of e-procurement tools (e.g. Ariba, Coupa, Tradeshift, Jagger, etc.) desirableGood knowledge of end-to-end procurement processes and strategic sourcing methodologyExperience in supplier identification, tendering, evaluating, and selection expertiseExperience in gathering and challenging requirements from stakeholdersProven experience in accurate data entryKnowledge of contracting options, including administration of terms and conditionsFull Right to Work without sponsorship is required for this role.
