Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Facilities Project Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring the smooth operation of facilities and equipment.
The Facilities Project Engineer will be responsible for leading plant engineering and corporate programs, implementing project plans, determining root cause failure analysis, and developing preventative maintenance procedures. Additionally, they will ensure facilities-related contracts are managed in accordance with procedures and current best practice.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a Level 8 degree in a technical discipline and at least three years' experience in a similar role. Prior experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
* Led plant engineering and corporate programmes including mechanical integrity, energy conservation and refrigerant compliance.
* Implemented project plans for new or existing equipment and facilities.
* Determined the root cause failure analysis of equipment failures and developed preventative maintenance procedures.
* Supported the installation and repairs of equipment to ensure continuous safe operation.
* Ensured facilities-related contracts – projects, maintenance, security and cleaning were managed in accordance with procedures and current best practice, to secure resource efficiencies and the maintenance of high-quality service.
* Managed facilities project works in their entirety, from inception to completion, including the appointment, supervision and control of design and installation contractors and all their associated responsibilities.
* Updated and maintained up-to-date plant layout and utility/service drawings in line with business and regulatory requirements.
* Ensured new machines/equipment were installed and commissioned efficiently in accordance with safety and validation procedures.
* Provided support in the areas of installation/operation/process qualification of new equipment to the site.
Requirements:
* Minimum of a level 8 degree in a technical discipline with 3 or more years' experience in a similar role.
* Prior experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry.
* Maintenance and troubleshooting experience of hvac, compressed air, water systems, power distribution.
* Established knowledge of cGMP and safety standards applicable to a facility and clean-room/controlled environment and associated manufacturing processes and procedures.
* Ability to share technical expertise with colleagues, able to express information clearly and concisely both verbally and in written format.
