Job Overview
The Heart and Vascular Department provides comprehensive cardiac services, encompassing non-invasive and invasive investigations and treatments. The successful candidate will work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team in the Heart and Vascular Department to provide expertise in ECG, ambulatory monitoring, transthoracic and transoesophageal echocardiography in clinic and Cath lab settings.
Main Responsibilities:
* Manage a high volume clinic workload efficiently and effectively.
* Provide support and staff supervision according to department demands and expectations.
* Deliver mentorship to junior staff with active involvement in staff training and development.
* Exhibit clinical leadership within echocardiography and non-invasive testing to a high standard, adhering to department policies and procedures as well as internationally recognised guidelines.
Candidate Requirements:
* Hold up-to-date BSE or EACVI accreditation.
* Possess approved entry to practice qualifications, including a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Clinical Measurement Science and Certificate in Medical Physics and Physiological Measurement.
* Display at least 3 years post-qualification experience, with a minimum of 1 year Echo experience.
* Demonstrate good interpersonal skills and awareness/sensitivity towards patient needs.
* Exhibit strong organisational skills, enabling effective management of high-volume workloads.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
