Project Manager

Job Overview:

The Project Manager will oversee the construction of a new multi-unit structural steel frame and cladding package based in Ballymount. The project will last for 2-3 years, and the manager will be responsible for ensuring its successful completion.

Responsibilities:

* Manage overall project planning, coordination, design, quality, and construction to ensure delivery on time, within budget, and as per scope.
* Lead the project team, including site management, health and safety, and contracts managers.
* Develop and implement risk management processes, review risk registers, and check controls.
* Implement Health & Safety policies and procedures, complying with legislation and company standards.
* Support the role of the Company HSEQ Manager, Site Health and Safety Manager, and Site Health and Safety Advisors.
* Attend regular meetings with stakeholders, subcontractors, and local authorities.
* Oversee day-to-day interactions with appointed sub-contractors to address design queries, coordinate works, and resolve variations to contracts.
* Work collaboratively with the Contracts Manager, Quantity Surveyor, and ESG team to achieve project objectives.
* Act as an ESG Champion for the site, maintaining records and working closely with the ESG team.
* Chair Design and Construction meetings with the project team to monitor progress, identify potential risks, and ensure compliance with regulations.
* Support and take direction from the Contracts Director/Contracts Manager and report concerns as necessary.

Requirements:

A third-level qualification in Civil/Structural Engineering or Construction Management is required. Min 10 years' experience in the construction industry, preferably with a Main Contractor or Developer, and at least 3 years' Project Management experience.

Experience in executing projects from planning through design, procurement, and construction stages is essential. Proven ability to manage design teams, subcontractors, and direct teams to deliver high-quality projects safely, on time, and within budget.

Site development infrastructure experience and commercial buildings delivery are also desirable. Strong interpersonal skills, good knowledge of current Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations, and Construction Contracts are required.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead with confidence, mentor, and motivate staff are necessary. Good knowledge of safety management and quality management, and the ability to build effective relationships at all levels, are also required.

Package:

Salary €70k - €80K and negotiable dependent on experience, pension, and 24 days holidays.
