Our client is a highly regarded global pharmaceutical company with a significant international footprint. With continued growth and strong market positioning, they are now seeking to appoint a Finance Director to lead the Irish finance function while partnering closely with global leadership team. This is a commercially important appointment with excellent visibility to senior stakeholders across the business.

You will likely have the following:
Qualified accountant gained from a large practice
10+ years’ progressive finance experience across industry and/or practice
Strong FP&A, budgeting, forecasting and commercial decision support experience
Proven leadership background managing finance teams and senior stakeholders
Technical accounting, audit and statutory reporting expertise
Experience within pharma, life sciences or another regulated industry would be advantageous but not essential
Role and Reporting Lines
Reporting to senior international leadership, this role will lead the Irish finance function and partner extensively across the global organisation.
Strategic Partnering – Support the GM and leadership team with financial insight, scenario planning and decision support
FP&A Leadership – Own annual budgets, forecasts and long-range planning processes
Board Reporting – Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual packs with clear commentary and recommendations
Financial Control – Lead close processes, balance sheet ownership and working capital management
Statutory Compliance – Manage year-end reporting, audit process and statutory obligations
Tax & Treasury – Oversee local tax compliance, cashflow, banking and treasury matters
Team Leadership – Develop and mentor a high-performing finance team
Continuous Improvement – Drive automation, stronger controls and scalable finance processes
