Care Network Ireland are currently recruiting qualified Catering Assistants for full and part time roles in Mental Health facilities in Dublin West.
Candidates must be highly motivated and interested in working in this area.
The successful candidate will assist in the preparation, delivery, and service of meals to patients while ensuring high standards of hygiene, food safety, and patient care are maintained.
Key Responsibilities: Assist with food preparation and portioning under supervision.
Serve meals and beverages to patients in accordance with dietary requirements.
Deliver and collect food trolleys and trays from wards.
Clean kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils in line with HACCP guidelines.
Maintain infection control and food safety standards at all times.
Communicate effectively and courteously with patients, staff, and colleagues.
Follow all relevant health, safety, and hygiene protocols.
Essential Requirements: Strong work ethic and ability to work as part of a team.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices.
Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
Desirable: Previous experience in a healthcare or catering environment.
HACCP certification.
Manual handling and infection prevention training.
