My client, one of Ireland's largest full-service law firms, is seeking an ambitious Newly Qualified (NQ) to Junior Solicitor (up to 2 years PQE) to join their top-tier Health & Social Care team in Dublin. Key Responsibilities
* Assisting in the preparation of defence strategies for medical negligence claims, including drafting legal documents and pleadings.
* Conducting thorough legal research focused on medical law, clinical negligence, and regulatory compliance.
* Reviewing and analysing complex medical records to assess case merits.
* Liaising with clients (public and private hospitals, the HSE), medical experts, and third-party solicitors.
* Assisting in preparation for, and attending, court proceedings, hearings, and negotiations.
* Providing advice on medico-legal issues like patient capacity and consent.
Essential Requirements
* Qualified Solicitor in Ireland.
* Newly Qualified (NQ) up to 2 years Post-Qualification Experience (PQE) in a relevant practice area.
* A keen interest in medical negligence and personal injury defence litigation.
* Excellent drafting, research, and analytical capabilities with meticulous attention to detail.
