A leading institutional investment organisation is seeking a Senior Investment Analyst to join its Irish Portfolio Monitoring function.
This is a highly visible role offering immediate investment exposure across a diverse portfolio of Irish assets.
The successful candidate will take ownership of monitoring a portfolio of investments spanning real estate, infrastructure, food & agri, technology, and life sciences, working closely with investment, risk, and external stakeholders.
The Role
Monitor the financial and economic performance of a portfolio of Irish investments
Review and analyse investee company reporting
Prepare and present annual investment review papers
Conduct company and sector research
Perform financial statement analysis and support equity valuations
Attend investee and stakeholder meetings
Assess investment risk across market, liquidity, FX, and credit risk
Support portfolio liquidity management and cashflow forecasting
Benchmark portfolio and investment returns
Analyse portfolio exposures by sector and risk profile
Collaborate with internal investment teams, risk functions, and external co-investors
Qualifications
Relevant third-level qualification
CFA qualified or progressing, or qualified / trainee accountant
Minimum 4+ years' experience in:
Private equity
Venture capital
Corporate finance
Commercial / corporate banking
Accountancy or similar investment environment
Experience in portfolio monitoring, fund management, risk, or transaction support highly advantageous
Key Skills
Strong financial modelling and analytical capability
High level of commercial acumen and attention to detail
Advanced Excel and data analysis skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
Collaborative, adaptable team player with strong stakeholder skills
