Role location and requirements Simo Tech require a Delta V Automation Engineer to join our team, supporting one of our multinational life sciences clients at their state-of-the-art biotechnology site based in Cork.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5+ years' experience in a similar position.
Responsibilities Design, configuration and testing of Delta V software including graphics, Control Modules, Equipment Modules and Phases.
Design, configuration and testing of the batch layer on Delta V.
Commissioning of new equipment.
Provide production support on Delta V issues.
Execution of change controls.
Provide project status updates to management.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or the Life Sciences.5+ year Delta V automation engineering experience, preferably in the life sciences industry.
Previous site commissioning experience on a pharma or biotech batch automation project.
Strong knowledge of the S-88 Batch Standard.
Good understanding of GAMP.
Strong knowledge of P&IDs Good understanding of the biotech process.
Ability to interact and communicate with other engineering and business disciplines.
