Responsibilities
Deliver high-value, cross-team projects and help drive the product vision forward through collaboration and hands-on coding.
Stay hands-on in technical work while leading by example with cross-functional and internal stakeholders.
Develop solutions with outsized impact on business goals and provide strategic direction for major projects.
Mentor and teach engineers in their areas of expertise.
Demonstrate pragmatic decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
Architect ML solutions across a range of problems and identify where ML can be effective in adjacent surface areas.
Analyze models beyond offline and online metrics, considering privacy, bias, security, and maintainability concerns.
Build reliable, scalable systems and lead teams beyond the status quo toward a shared vision.
Apply deep expertise in Predictive AI concepts (e.g., recommendation systems, classification, ranking, and relevancy) and associated techniques and tools.
Embody HubSpot engineering values and contribute to a collaborative, customer-focused culture.
Qualifications
Expert understanding of ML techniques (e.g., deep learning, optimization, regression, transformers, large language models, transfer learning) and areas (NLP, RL, classification, recommendations) with tools (scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow).
Proven ability to craft architecture for diverse ML problems and to identify opportunities where ML adds business value.
Experience analyzing privacy, bias, security, and maintainability concerns in ML models.
Strong track record of leading high-impact, cross-team projects as a senior individual contributor.
Excellent collaboration and mentoring skills with the ability to guide teams beyond the status quo.
Comfort working in a fast-paced environment and contributing to a shared vision.
