About The Opportunity
Our client, a Top 6 Irish full‑service law firm with significant market presence, is seeking an exceptional Partner to take a leadership role in their Debt Capital Markets and Structured Finance practice at a pivotal moment of strategic growth and expansion.
This is more than a traditional partner appointment – it represents a genuine opportunity to build and own a significant practice area within Ireland's sophisticated financial services legal market.
The incoming Partner will work alongside highly regarded partners, leveraging the team's recognised expertise and premier client relationships to expedite growth.
The Role: DCM Practice Leadership
As Partner, you will assume leadership of the Debt Capital Markets and Structured Finance offering, with the scope to shape strategy and drive commercial growth across:
Debt Capital Markets & Structured Finance
Structure and negotiate sophisticated debt issuance programmes, including advising on multi‑series secured notes programmes.
Advise Irish and international issuers, originators, and lead managers on complex transactions.
Lead on green bond initiatives and develop innovative debt structures for alternative investment vehicles.
Drive the firm's expansion into new product lines, focusing on emerging areas of structured finance.
Financial Services Regulatory Advisory (DCM Focus)
Provide strategic regulatory guidance to financial services entities involved in debt issuance and management.
Navigate complex compliance matters under AIFMD, SFDR, and evolving regulatory frameworks.
Advise on regulatory due diligence for acquisitions and changes of control related to financial services platforms.
The successful candidate will be a high‑calibre lawyer with the entrepreneurial ambition to build a market‑leading practice:
Qualified Solicitor with significant PQE in debt capital markets, fund regulation, or investment funds.
We are targeting 8‑10+ years PQE gained at a top‑tier firm.
Demonstrated business development capabilities and established client relationship management skills.
Leadership experience with genuine ambition to build and own practice areas.
Strategic thinker with commercial acumen and strong technical expertise combined with a practical, solutions‑focused approach.
Established network within the Irish and international financial services community.
