A leading company in the food and beverage manufacturing sector is looking for an experienced Safety Manager to oversee health, safety, and environmental standards across its operations in Ireland.This role focuses on creating a strong safety culture, ensuring legal compliance, reducing workplace risks, and supporting continuous improvement across manufacturing and office sites.Key ResponsibilitiesSafety & ComplianceLead health, safety, and environmental activities across all sitesEnsure compliance with Irish legislation and company safety standardsCarry out audits, inspections, and risk assessmentsInvestigate accidents and near misses, and implement corrective actionsMaintain safety documentation, reports, and tracking systemsSupport safety committees and incident response activitiesManage contractor safety and permit-to-work systemsPromote safe working practices across teamsSupport waste, energy, water, and emissions reduction initiativesAssist with environmental compliance and improvement projectsTraining & SupportManage employee safety training and induction programmesEnsure all required training is completed and recordedSupport occupational health and wellbeing initiativesWork closely with operational teams to improve workplace safetyOperational SupportSupport quality and operational improvement activitiesAssist with audits, investigations, and process improvementsWork with Production, Warehouse, and Maintenance teams to maintain safe working practicesSite SafetyEnsure good housekeeping and hygiene standardsSupport safe warehouse and forklift operationsEnsure first aid equipment is maintainedWork with engineering and production teams to ensure equipment is safe and properly maintainedSkills & ExperienceQualification in Health & Safety, Environmental Management, or related fieldExperience in manufacturing, industrial, or supply chain environmentsStrong understanding of health and safety legislationExperience with audits, incident investigations, and risk assessmentsGood communication and organisational skillsPreferredExperience in food, beverage, or FMCG manufacturingExperience working in a large or multi-site organisation
