Job Title: Experienced Oncology Nurse
We are seeking an experienced oncology nurse to join our specialist team in a leading private hospital. The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient-centred care to oncology and haematology patients receiving day-case chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and supportive treatments.
Key Responsibilities:
* To work within a multidisciplinary team to ensure that patients receiving chemotherapy have continued access to specialist care, knowledge, and expertise.
* The administration of prescribed cytotoxic chemotherapy to oncology patients via cannula, PICC, Hickman, or Portacath.
* To administer chemotherapy in accordance with protocols set out by the Cancer Centre.
* Provide information about treatment and side-effects, giving written information as appropriate.
* Facilitate effective communication between the multidisciplinary team, the patient, and their family.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Two years clinical experience preferred.
* Postgraduate qualification in Oncology Nursing or Haematology Nursing.
* Experience in a day unit or outpatient oncology environment.
* Competency in use of infusion devices and chemotherapy protocols.
