Category Strategy Lead
The Category Strategy Lead plays a pivotal role in driving procurement excellence by overseeing and managing a team of Category Managers. This includes day-to-day managerial functions, as well as strategic and policy development aspects that will have medium-term consequences on the operation of the function.
Responsibilities:
* Lead a number of regional categories/commodities across European manufacturing sites to drive productivity and cost savings.
* Capture commodity requirements from internal stakeholders and ensure supplier qualification and quality through effective engagement.
* Develop and execute comprehensive commodity strategies, including assessing opportunity for commodity spend segmentation, commodity maturity, cost drivers, and supply market analysis.
* Negotiate with suppliers and select partners accountable for contract lifecycle management and compliance.
* Leverage commodity productivity through price, value analysis (VA), or continuous improvement projects to drive business outcomes.
