Company Description
Egis Road and Tunnel Operation Ireland (ERTO) is an Irish company established in 2005 and part of Egis Projects Ireland. We manage Dublin Tunnel, Jack Lynch Tunnel, and the Motorway Traffic Control Centre (MTCC) for Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII).
ERTO's responsibility is to manage all processes related to the operation and maintenance of these assets. We are located at the Dublin Tunnel Control Building on East Wall Road.
The position holder is responsible for ensuring compliance with the Codes of Ethics, internal rules, local regulations, and Health & Safety standards relevant to Egis Road and Tunnel Operations.
Job Description
The MOCC Manager leads the daily operations of the Motorway Operations Control Centre, ensuring high performance aligned with KPIs, operational continuity, and effective stakeholder communication. The role also involves incident response, safety, and environmental compliance.
* Manage TII’s motorway and tunnel management systems
* Oversee quality of notifications and communications to stakeholders and the public
* Coordinate with ERTO departments and stakeholders on system development and maintenance
* Ensure contractual compliance
* Promote a seamless 'One Control Room' operation, liaising with partners
* Guide critical decision-making and SOP development
* Develop and train on emergency response plans
* Report on KPI metrics for transportation management and incident handling
* Prepare performance reports
* Implement environmentally responsible actions within the scope of the service
* Support new system integrations like NIMS in collaboration with the client and subcontractors
Qualifications
* Level 8 qualification recognized by the NQF Ireland or equivalent
* Minimum 5 years in control room management, with at least 2 years in tunnel control
* Experience with SCADA, ITS, or traffic systems
* Strong stakeholder management skills
* Proven leadership and incident response skills
* Change management experience
* Numeracy and analytical skills
* Excellent communication skills in English
