Staff Nurse / Social Care Worker
Permanent Contract
31 Hours Per Week
An opportunity has arisen in our Residential Service for a person in charge role. The Person in Charge will co-ordinate and lead in the implementation and provision of quality care consistent with the organisation's ethos and values, in a safe, respectful, empathetic, and person-centred manner that promotes inclusion in community life. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring HIQA standards and regulations standards are adhered to.
Essential Requirements
Qualification
* Possess a BA (Ord) in Social Care Practice (Level 7 on the QQI framework). Under the Health & Social Care Professional Act 2005 (amended) to regulate the profession of the Social Care Worker/Supervisor. There will be a requirement to be registered with CORU as a Social Care Worker within the required time frames to practice as a Social Care Worker. (section 38 & section 91).
Or
* Be registered in the Intellectual Division of the Register of Nurses & Midwives maintained by Bord Altranais agus Cnaimhseachais na hEireann (Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland) or be entitled to be so registered
Experience
* Experience working with persons with an Intellectual Disability.
* Knowledge and experience of the residential, social, and recreational needs of persons with an Intellectual Disability
* Knowledge and experience of advocacy and individual personal plans/person centred planning.
* Full clean driving licence and willingness to drive as part of role is essential.
