Overview

We are seeking an Analytical Scientist R&D for our Dunboyne facility. The role involves working with the Enabling Technology and Engineering group to leverage Process Automation and adopt Process Analytical Technology (PAT). The Microbiology Lab Operations team will collaborate with Operations to understand facility fit and adjust resources accordingly.

This is a shift-based role (4 days on / 4 days off, 7 am to 7 pm)


Requirements

Responsibilities:

* Oversee laboratory operations, including equipment qualification (PQ), documentation, and SOP review.
* Review and analyze laboratory data to support batch release and generate reports.
* Manage laboratory stock and consumables.
* Participate in meetings and lead departmental and cross-functional discussions.
* Assist in audits and inspections to ensure readiness.
* Promote site safety and a culture of best practices.
* Support GMP activities, troubleshooting, and laboratory projects.
* Collaborate with the global Microbiology Center of Expertise and implement lean lab practices.
* Organize testing schedules and meet deadlines.
* Train and mentor team members, sharing knowledge effectively.
* Support occasional out-of-hours testing as needed.

Skills & Qualifications:

* BSc in Biological Sciences, Engineering, or related field; MSc preferred.
* Minimum 3 years relevant industry experience.
* Team player with the ability to work independently.
* Knowledge of biologics manufacturing and microbiological testing.
* Logical thinking and proactive under pressure.
