Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the following post: Grade VI Supplies and Procurement Manager Full-time, 1.00 WTE The Grade VI Supplies/Procurement Manager will lead and manage the hospitals procurement and supply chain operations, delivering value for money consistent with patient safety and supporting the hospitals clinical and non-clinical services. The role involves strategic planning, operational management, contract management, team leadership, and active participation in cross-functional and sectoral initiatives to support the hospitals mission and objectives. Experience Have at least 3 years experience working in a similar role in public procurement Proven ability in financial management, expenditure analysis, and reporting Demonstrate experience assessing spend reports and data to identify opportunities Knowledge Demonstrated knowledge of best practice procurement and supply chain processes Strong knowledge of national and EU procurement policy and legislation. Excellent IT skills, particularly in MS Excel and procurement systems Qualifications Essential: Applicants must hold a recognised qualification in public procurement or degree or higher qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g., supply chain, business, public administration). Desirable: Lean Six Sigma Qualification The successful candidate for the above post must have excellent communication skills and stakeholder management skills as well as proven ability to lead/supervise. They must be results-driven with high attention to details and the ability to prioritise competing demands. The must be adaptable and committed to continuous improvement.
