Bookkeeping, Payroll & Administration Executive (Part-Time)Location:North Dublin (Fully Onsite)Working Pattern:Tuesday to Friday (4 days per week – Part-Time, salary pro-rated)About the RoleWe are seeking an experiencedBookkeeping, Payroll & Administration Executiveto join our growing accountancy practice in North Dublin. This hands-on, client-facing role involvesbookkeeping, payroll processing, and practice administrationacross a diverse portfolio of SME clients.The ideal candidate ishighly organised, detail-oriented, and proficient in accounting software, with a proven ability to managemultiple accounts, tight deadlines, and client queries. You will report directly to theSenior Accountant / Practice Managerand play a key role in theday-to-day operations of the practice.Key ResponsibilitiesBookkeeping & AccountsMaintain accurate financial records for multiple clients.Process purchase and sales invoices, journals, and bank reconciliations .Prepare and submit VAT returns on time and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.Liaise with clients to resolve queries and obtain missing documentation.Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.PayrollProcess weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls for multiple clients.Calculate salaries, overtime, statutory payments, and deductions accurately.Manage starters, leavers, and employee data changes .Produce payslips, payroll reports, and pension submissions .Respond to payroll-related queries from clients and employees promptly.Administration & Practice SupportProvide general administrative support to partners and accountants.Maintain client records, filing systems, and internal workflows .Manage deadlines, engagement documentation, and onboarding processes .Assist with billing, invoicing, and credit control processes .Handle correspondence, emails, and telephone enquiries professionally.Candidate ProfileMinimum 2+ years' experience in bookkeeping, payroll, or accounts administration.Experience in an accountancy practice preferred; candidates from busy multi-entity corporate environments considered.Demonstrable experience managing multiple clients or accounts simultaneously .Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and payroll processes .Proficient in accounting and payroll software such as BrightBooks, Bright Accounts Production, Big Red Book, QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or Thesaurus Payroll .AAT qualified or working towards AAT (desirable).Payroll qualification (desirable).Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.Able to prioritise workload and meet competing deadlines .Professional, confident communicator with clients and colleagues.Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.Key Skills / Keywords for ATSBookkeeping, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Bank Reconciliation, Payroll, PAYE, VAT Returns, Client Management, Multi-Entity Accounts, Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, BrightBooks, Bright Accounts Production, Thesaurus Payroll, Credit Control, Invoice Processing, Month-End Close, Financial Reporting, Administrative Support, Engagement Documentation, Compliance, SME Clients, Accounting Standards, Time Management, Attention to Detail.
