Staff Nurse - Operating Theatre
*
* Provide skilled nursing care for patients undergoing surgery in the operating theatre.
* Assist consultant surgeons and anaesthetists during surgical procedures.
* Ensure high standards of nursing care are maintained throughout pre-operative, intraoperative and post-operative patient care.
* Be aware of the multifaceted needs of theatre patients and provide holistic support services for them and their families.
* Prepare the operating room and equipment for elective scheduled procedures.
* Maintain aseptic techniques by wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed.
* Record controlled drug administration accurately and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
* Conduct thorough handover to colleagues at the end of each shift and participate in on-call rosters as required.
