Job Title: Financial Accountant (Fixed Term Contract - 6 months)

Role Overview
As the Financial Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health and operational efficiency of our cyber security business. Operating within the IT channel and backed by Private Equity, we are scaling rapidly with an ARR of €100 million. You will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, managing the month-end close, and leading continuous improvement initiatives across finance processes. This includes leveraging AI and automation to enhance accuracy, scalability, and customer responsiveness.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Management Accounts
* Manage the preparation of accurate and timely monthly management accounts.
* Support variance analysis and provide insights to aid decision-making across the business.
* Ensure appropriate accruals, prepayments, and revenue recognition in line with accounting standards.
Cashflow & Treasury Management
* Own short- and long-term cashflow forecasting and monitoring.
* Liaise with the wider business to anticipate cash needs and optimize working capital.
* Monitor bank balances, FX exposure, and funding requirements.
Balance Sheet Reconciliations
* Maintain complete and accurate balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis.
* Ensure controls are in place to verify the integrity of all balances, including intercompany accounts, deferred revenue, fixed assets, and accruals.
Audit & Compliance
* Act as a key point of contact for external auditors, leading the preparation and execution of annual audits.
* Ensure all statutory and regulatory filings are completed accurately and on time.
* Maintain up-to-date documentation and compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
Systems & Process Improvement
* Collaborate with the Financial Controller and cross-functional teams to contribute to the implementation and optimization of financial systems (e.g., ERP, billing platforms, reporting tools).
Your Story
* You are a Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent), with a minimum of 3 years PQE.
* You have proven experience in a finance role within a SaaS, tech, or subscription-based business.
* You possess a strong understanding of SaaS accounting standards and metrics.
* You hold experience in cashflow management and balance sheet reconciliations.
* You have hands-on experience with month-end close and management reporting.
* You have experience with Advanced Excel and financial systems proficiency.
Hopefully, you will also have experience with:
* ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Xero, Sage Intacct).
* KPI dashboards and AI-driven financial reporting tools.
AI & Automation Integration
* Use of AI for forecasting, anomaly detection, and process automation.
* Continuous evaluation of automation tools to improve customer responsiveness and reporting speed.
Customer-Centric Focus
* Ensure finance outputs support customer success and satisfaction.
* Collaborate with customer-facing teams to align financial insights with client needs.
* Drive transparency and responsiveness in financial reporting to support customer trust.
Performance Measurement
