* Have current experience working with midwives in clinical practice
* Competent in the clinical skills required to support midwives in the maternity
department
* Works to keep education programmes fresh and maintains currency of educational
programmes informed by evidence
* Provide evidence of clinical supervision, mentoring and expert resource.
* Open to using simulation as part of their teaching strategy and keeps up to date with
this advancements in this area
* Demonstrates a commitment to supporting staff midwives and give the time and
effort to engage with and be accessible to staff midwives.
* Demonstrates excellent planning, organization and prioritization skills, to effectively
meet deadlines and to deliver to high standards across the areas of responsibility
* Has good time management skills to manage workload
* Engage with the audit process on site.
