Responsibilities
Position Overview:
Reporting to the CNC Supervisor, the role is responsible forsetting up, programming, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to producehigh-quality components safely, efficiently, and to specification.
The positionensures accurate interpretation of engineering drawings, effective operation oflightly attended automated machining processes, ongoing inspection andadjustment of production runs, and full compliance with quality, housekeeping,and health and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Operating CNC Machine
Understand specifications of thetask at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanicaldrawings etc.
Prepare and load raw materialsand parts onto the machines
Supervise the machines while theyexecute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a betterresult
Inspect and measure finishedproducts and compare them with requirements to determine if the processhas been completed properly
Check and maintain machinerydaily to ensure functionality
Achieving competitive cycle timesand production targets
Technical troubleshooting 'machine and process
Actively participate incontinuous improvement initiatives
Keep supervisor and/or QCinformed of any issues
Maintain a clean, unclutteredwork area
Adhere to all Health & Safetyregulations
Other associated tasks asassigned by the CNC Supervisor
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
Proven experience as CNC operator
Skilled in operating CNC machinery andtooling as well as precision measurement tools
Ability to read and interpretmechanical documents and drawings
Basic computer skills
Mechanical aptitude and good mathskills
