client who are looking to hire a
Principal Product Design Engineer
to lead the end-to-end development of innovative electromechanical products from concept through to launch.
This opportunity arises due to continued expansion and is a critical hire for the business.
Responsibilities
Own product requirements, specifications, and system architecture
Lead design control, risk management, and verification/validation activities
Manage external engineering partners and approve technical deliverables
Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver on programme milestones
Support innovation, platform development, and technical strategy
Requirements
Degree in Engineering or related field
10+ years' experience in R&D/NPD (medical device or similar regulated industry preferred)
Strong knowledge of design controls, FMEA, and relevant standards (e.g. ISO *****)
Experience with electromechanical systems advantageous
Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills
Able to operate in a fast-paced, global environment
