About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Wood Machinist to join our growing production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a range of woodworking machinery, processing timber and panel materials to precise specifications while ensuring high levels of quality, safety, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
· Operate machinery such as moulders, planers, saws, CNC's (Masterwood & SCM), Mortice and Tenoners, and spindle moulders.
· Set up machines, adjust tooling, and perform calibration for accurate machining.
· Interpret drawings, cutting lists, and production specifications.
· Monitor product quality and ensure compliance with required standards.
· Perform routine checks, maintenance, and report equipment issues as required.
· Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work area.
· Support production targets and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
What We're Looking For
· Minimum of 3 Years Experience operating industrial woodworking machinery is essential.
· Good understanding of machining principles, tooling, and timber materials.
· Ability to read technical drawings and measure accurately.
· High attention to detail with a strong focus on quality.
· Commitment to safe working practices.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Good problem-solving ability and a proactive attitude.
Preferred
· Vocational qualification in Wood Machining, Carpentry & Joinery, or similar.
· CNC machining experience.
Physical Requirements
· Ability to stand for most of the shift.
· Capable of manual handling in accordance with Health & Safety guidelines.
