Job Purpose The Junior ServiceNow Administrator supports the ongoing operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the ServiceNow platform within An Post. The role is suitable for someone with practical, hands-on ServiceNow administration experience who is ready to further develop their skills while contributing to a live production environment. Job Description The Junior ServiceNow Administrator works under the guidance of a Senior ServiceNow Administrator to support the configuration, administration, and stability of the ServiceNow platform. This role involves maintaining existing functionality, assisting with enhancements, supporting users, and ensuring platform changes follow agreed standards and best practices. The Junior ServiceNow Administrator will gain deeper exposure to ServiceNow modules, scripting, upgrades, and integrations while playing an active role in day-to-day platform delivery. Main Responsibilities Support the day-to-day administration and operation of the ServiceNow platform, including users, groups, roles, and access controls Provide configuration and support across core ITSM modules, as well as Customer Service Management (CSM), Business Continuity Management (BCM), and the CMDB Assist in maintaining CMDB data quality, including CI records, attributes, and basic governance activities Support the configuration and ongoing maintenance of multiple ServiceNow service portals, ensuring a consistent and user-friendly experience Configure and support service Catalog items, request workflows, approvals, and notifications Provide administration and support for the ServiceNow Mobile Agent application, including user access, configuration, and functional troubleshooting Build and maintain basic platform components such as forms, fields, UI policies, business rules, client scripts, workflows, and notifications Support platform upgrades, patching, testing, and deployment activities Troubleshoot and resolve ServiceNow-related incidents and service requests Assist with reporting, dashboards, and basic performance metrics across supported modules Maintain platform documentation, configuration records, and user guides Work with stakeholders to understand requirements and support incremental improvements while following ServiceNow best practices and governance standards Personal Skills Strong interest in developing a career in ServiceNow administration Good problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to follow technical processes and standards Clear communication skills, with the ability to explain issues simply Well-organised and able to manage multiple tasks Willingness to learn and take on feedback Proactive approach with a strong attention to detail Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment Experience Required Practical experience working in a ServiceNow administrator or support role (not entry-level / not newly qualified) Hands-on experience supporting a live ServiceNow instance Experience working with at least some ITSM modules (Incident, Request, Change, etc.) Basic experience configuring ServiceNow components such as forms, fields, notifications, and simple workflows Understanding of ServiceNow platform concepts, roles, and security model Experience working in an IT support or service management environment ServiceNow System Administrator certification is essential Show a willingness to continue formal learning and certification in ServiceNow Skills: ServiceNow ServiceNow Administrator system administrator Benefits: Work From Home
