Job Description
We are seeking an
Electrical Engineer
with 2–5 yearsof experience to join our biotechnology client in Limerick.
The successfulcandidate will be responsible for the design, specification, and commissioningof new and upgraded electrical systems, while also providing engineeringsupport and troubleshooting for existing equipment and manufacturing processes.This role will work closely with the electrical maintenance team to ensure thereliability and availability of electrical distribution networks.
Key Responsibilities
Designand maintain LV systems (e.g., lighting, general services, UPS, protectionsettings including arc flash) and ELV systems (e.g., fire alarm, datapoints, building automation).
Managesmall-scale electrical infrastructure projects.
Supportdesign reviews, site acceptance testing, and installation of electricalequipment.
Prepareand maintain electrical drawings and related documentation.
Designand specify cGMP-compliant E&I equipment and process controls.
Manageelectrical systems integrated with business IT networks.
Supportvalidation activities by preparing design documentation and assisting withprotocol execution.
Investigateequipment and control system issues, including power quality events.
Prepareengineering evaluations and execute change control documentation.
Superviseelectrical contractors and ensure compliance with required standards.
Developrisk assessments, method statements, and ensure site Health & Safetycompliance.
Maintaina safe working environment by enforcing procedures, policies, andregulations.
Upholdcompany reputation by ensuring compliance with all relevant laws,standards, and policies.
Provide technical electrical design support for new Process Area CAPEX projects, including scope definition, design development, and commissioning.
Lead electrical design packages for small to medium projects, ensuring compliance with cGMP and safety standards.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver project deliverables on time and within budget.
Support CAPEX-related validation, design documentation, and site acceptance testing.
Requirements
Education & Experience
Bachelor'sdegree in Electrical Engineering.
2–5years of relevant industry experience.
