We’re exclusively partnering with our client to recruit a commercially minded Accountant for a growing business undergoing operational transformation and rapid expansion. This isn’t a standard back-office position. You’ll be central to driving cost efficiencies, delivering performance insights, and working closely with site and operations leaders. Your role will be key in shifting the business from reactive to predictive decision-making, paving the way for long-term operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
* Acting as a true business partner to the Site GM and leadership team, embedding a proactive, margin-focused mindset across the shop floor.
* Delivering robust cost analysis, margin tracking, and variance reporting to influence smart commercial decision.
* Owningandevolvingthestandardcostingprocess—fullrebuilds,ongoingmonitoring,andscenariomodelling.
* Leadingfinancialinputintooperationalperformancereviewsanddrivingcontinuousimprovementinitiatives.
* Providingdeep-diveanalysisintolabour,overheads,andproductioncosts—andturningnumbersintoactions.
* Supportingthebudgetingandforecastingprocesswithreal-timedataandforward-lookinginsights.
* CollaboratingwithITandsupplychainteamstoimproveinventoryvisibilityandsystemintegration.
Qualifications & Skills:
* Aprofessionalaccountingqualification (CIMA /ACCA /ACA).
* Experienceinamanufacturingenvironment,ideallywithinFMCGorfoodproductionforretailcustomers.
* Strong ERP knowledge and the ability to leverage tools like Excel (advanced), Power BI, and financial modelling tools to drive decisions.
* Asharp,analyticalmindsetwithabiasforactionandresults.
* A track record of influencing across departments—finance, ops, and beyond.
