Financial Accountant – Marketing

In Flutter Finance, we provide global expertise to ensure financial health, leveraging our Flutter Edge to enhance our capabilities.
Reporting to the Financial Controller – Marketing, this role will assist in delivering financial and management information, focusing on accounting and reporting for marketing costs within the Global Financial Control team. Responsibilities include managing operating expenses and analyzing monthly results.
What You’ll Do
* Assist with month-end reporting for Brand Marketing and Customer Acquisition within deadlines.
* Maintain a robust cost accruals process to ensure accuracy within a fast close environment.
* Review variances, flag key issues in advance of close.
* Compile mid-month marketing channel outturns for senior management.
* Standardize and automate month-end tasks to improve efficiency.
* Complete balance sheet reconciliations timely.
* Engage with budget owners to improve processes around accruals.
* Review and document processes considering system and business changes.
* Participate in cross-training initiatives.
* Collaborate with Divisional Heads of Finance on budgets, forecasts, and commercial decisions.
* Provide accurate financial information for group reporting.
* Coordinate with internal and external audits.
* Support finance teams to achieve overall results.
How You’ll Do It
* Hold a recognized Accounting qualification.
* At least 2+ years in a similar environment with proven financial reporting and analysis experience.
* Experience in process improvements.
* Familiarity with Oracle ERP or similar systems is advantageous.
* Excellent MS Office skills, especially Excel.
* Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
* Proactive, adaptable, and effective in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to communicate effectively with non-finance stakeholders.
* Comfortable handling high data volumes in an automated environment.
* Well-organized with attention to detail and continuous improvement mindset.
