Applications are invited for a temporary post of a UCD Post-doctoral Research Fellow Level 1 or 2 within UCD School of Biomolecular and Biomedical Science.
The budding yeasts (subphylum Saccharomycotina) include more than 1000 species covering an evolutionary time span of ~400 million years. This project will address the biodiversity of Irish yeast species, focusing on genomic and bioinformatic analysis.
PD1 is a research-focused role, where you will conduct a specified programme of research supported by research training and development under the supervision and direction of a Principal Investigator.
PD2 is an advanced research-focused role, building on your prior experience as a post-doctoral fellow, where you will conduct a specified programme of research supported by research training under the supervision and direction of a Principal Investigator.
Appointment in the above range will depend on qualifications and experience.

Required skills include: communication, organizational, and research skills; experience in yeast or fungal genomics; culturing and manipulation of yeast or fungal species; background in molecular evolution of yeast species.
