We are seeking an experienced Yard Manager/Foreman with a proven background in the construction industry and a history of management or supervisory positions, ideally 3+ years. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive, reliable individual looking to build a long-term career within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of yard operations, ensuring safety, compliance, and efficiency, while also contributing to the growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

* Supervision and Management: Lead, supervise, and manage yard personnel, ensuring optimal performance and productivity across the team.
* Equipment & Material Management: Maintain accurate reporting of all equipment and materials in the yard, ensuring proper handling and storage of all assets.
* Stock Delivery & Coordination: Oversee the delivery of new stock, ensuring that all inventory is received, stored, and handled appropriately.
* Liaison with Office Staff: Work closely with office staff to coordinate and schedule deliveries, ensuring seamless communication and efficient operations.
* Collaboration with Employees & Subcontractors: Work alongside yard employees and subcontractors to maintain a safe, compliant, and efficient working environment across all operating areas.
* Yard Maintenance & Organisation: Ensure the yard, works, and break spaces are kept clean, organized, and in compliance with company standards.
* Equipment Inspections & Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and spot checks on equipment. Organise repairs and maintenance when necessary to ensure equipment is in good working order.
* Health & Safety Compliance: Champion safe working practices, ensuring full compliance with health and safety regulations. Promote a safety-first culture across all yard activities.
* Reporting & Paperwork: Ensure all reports and paperwork related to yard operations are accurately and efficiently completed and submitted in a timely manner.
* Business Growth & Networking: Help grow the business by building and maintaining strong relationships within the construction sector.

Ideal Candidate Attributes:

* Experience: A background in a similar role within the construction industry, with experience managing or supervising personnel and handling similar responsibilities.
* Work Ethic: Committed to taking pride in their work, proactively managing all aspects under their jurisdiction with attention to detail and responsibility.
* Physical Fitness: Must be physically fit, as the role is labour-intensive and requires hands-on involvement in daily yard operations.
