Operating within a fast-paced project delivery environment, the successful candidate will take on a senior leadership position with significant autonomy, responsibility and long-term progression potential.The role will suit an experienced commercial leader from an MEP, engineering or industrial contracting background who is seeking the opportunity to broaden their scope, influence strategic decision-making and contribute to the continued growth of a major project delivery business. The organisation also views this appointment as part of its longer‑term succession planning strategy.ResponsibilitiesLead the commercial delivery of multiple large-scale engineering and industrial projects.Oversee commercial governance, contract administration, financial performance and risk management across the project portfolio.Drive accurate commercial reporting, forecasting, budgeting and cashflow management.Manage and develop a team of commercial professionals across the division.Build strong relationships with operational teams, clients, subcontractors and supply chain partners.Support procurement strategy, subcontractor negotiations and final account agreements.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across commercial processes and reporting structures.Support the ongoing growth and strategic development of the Energy & Industrial business unit.ExperienceProven experience within a senior commercial role in an MEP, engineering or industrial contracting environment.Strong technical understanding of complex engineering and construction projects.Experience managing commercial performance across large-scale projects or project portfolios.Demonstrated leadership capability with experience mentoring and developing teams.Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills and contractual understanding.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline preferred.Experience across energy, industrial, infrastructure, mission‑critical or pharmaceutical sectors would be advantageous.Highly competitive executive‑level salary and package.Performance‑related bonus structure.Pension contribution and car allowance.Opportunity to join a growing and internationally recognised engineering business.Exposure to large-scale and technically challenging projects.Strong long‑term career progression and succession opportunities.Collaborative and high‑performing leadership environment.
