All Creatures Veterinary in Co. Roscommon is expanding, and we're excited to welcome a new nurse to our dedicated small animal team.
About The Role
This is a fully clinical small animal position where you will be immersed in hands-on nursing every day. Your responsibilities will include nurse consultations, inpatient management, surgical preparation, anaesthesia support, laboratory work, and delivering exceptional patient and client care.
You'll join a practice that values each team member's contribution and where your nursing skills will be fully utilised and continuously developed.
Working Hours
Our rota is structured to provide variety and good work-life balance.
Weekday shifts include: 8:30am-4:30pm, 9am-6pm, 9:30am-6pm or 11am-6pm.
Saturday work runs from 9am-2pm, and if scheduled, you receive a weekday off in lieu the following week.
Our Practice & Facilities
All Creatures Veterinary is a modern, community-focused practice offering excellent facilities for both small and large animal care. -
Within our small animal service, you will have access to:
* Two consultation rooms and a spacious reception and shop offering a wide range of pet foods, accessories and animal health products
* A dedicated prep room for surgical preparation and dental procedures.
* A fully equipped operating theatre supporting a range of surgical interventions.
* A modern laboratory/blood room with haematology, biochemistry, thyroid, electrolyte testing, cytology, microscopy, urinalysis and more.
* A dedicated digital X-ray suite and advanced ultrasound equipment for rapid diagnostics.
* Separate dog and cat kennelling areas to support calm, stress-free patient care.
The practice also houses on-site large animal facilities including a cattle crush, equine stocks and calf hospitalisation areas - though your role remains fully small animal focused.
Our Team
You will join a welcoming and collaborative team consisting of:
Three small animal vets, four large animal vets, two veterinary nurses and an excellent support team. We pride ourselves on teamwork, respect and a positive working culture.
Applicant Requirements
You must be a VCI registered Veterinary Nurse or eligible for registration by January/February 2026.
We welcome candidate of all experience levels, including new graduates. Structured support and training will be provided to help you thrive.
