Role Overview
As a Company Accountant, you will play a key role in the financial management of the business. You will be responsible for all day-to-day accounting functions, including month-end management accounts, maintaining debtors and creditors ledgers, budgeting/cashflows, VAT/payroll returns and managing the external audit process.
The role is hands-on, requiring excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as a demonstrated ability to work on your own initiative as part of a close-knit team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Accounting and finance functions, including preparation of management accounts, budgets and cashflow forecasts.
* Maintenance of debtors and creditors ledgers, ensuring timely payment and collection of monies due.
* Management of VAT and payroll returns, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Coordination of the external audit process, ensuring that all necessary documentation is available and presented in a timely manner.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Fully qualified accountant or qualified by experience.
* Hands-on industry experience, preferably in a SME environment.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Demonstrated ability to work on your own initiative as part of a close-knit team.
